Who We Treat
Addiction and Co-Occurring Mental Health Care for Adults
Windmill Wellness Ranch treats adults 18 years and older with a substance use disorder, whether it's occurring on its own or alongside a mental health condition such as depression, anxiety, or trauma, known as a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder. Clients come to us from Texas and from across the country to receive this kind of specialized care.
How We Treat Addiction and Co-Occurring Conditions
Our Master’s level clinicians are trained in trauma resolution and complex diagnoses, and they specialize in treating a substance use disorder and a mental health condition together when both are present, rather than addressing them as separate, unrelated issues. Many clients arrive with a diagnosis that was made during active substance use or withdrawal, which can be inaccurate, so our clinical team works to confirm an accurate diagnosis under stable conditions before building an individualized treatment plan.
That plan can include daily available psychiatry, trauma-focused modalities like EMDR, IFS, and CBT, and genetic testing on request to help guide personalized medication planning. Our team uses Trac9 to track outcomes and adjust each client’s plan in real time, and clients who want additional support have the option to add Brain Frequency™ technology. Every client’s care takes place in a home-like ranch setting in the Texas Hill Country, built to feel like a place for real healing rather than a clinical facility.
Who We're Not Able to Treat
Because our program is built around treating addiction, we currently are not able to treat individuals who have only a mental health condition with no substance use involved. We are also not able to treat anyone under the age of 18. If you're not sure whether Windmill Wellness Ranch is the right fit, contact our admissions team and we'll talk it through with you.
Serving Adults From Texas and Across the Nation
Windmill Wellness Ranch sits on 75 acres in the Texas Hill Country in Canyon Lake, and we serve adults from Canyon Lake, New Braunfels, San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Houston, and the greater Texas region. We also welcome adults who travel from across the country to receive care here.
